Wedding Dance Lesson Workshop, April 12, Fort Worth

When I was planning my own wedding, I found out very quickly how EXPENSIVE everything is!  While I didn’t need to purchase dance lessons, I’ve heard from a lot of brides and grooms about how expensive these can be as well.  And I understand completely – you are purchasing a service that has required a lot of specialized training.
Yet at the same time, I love dance so much that I don’t believe it should be priced at a level that makes it too “exclusive” where most of us can’t afford it.
I’ve also heard stories from brides and grooms that they weren’t getting the type of dance lessons they wanted, for example they would request a choreographed dance, but what they ended up getting was general lessons.
One of my favorite things to do while teaching ballroom dance is teaching brides and grooms and wedding parties!  So I wanted to make it affordable, and help you receive what you want.  Those are two of my goals – pricing classes where it’s affordable for you yet also meets the requirements for overhead on my side, and making sure I listen to the needs of my students!
One way I accomplish the first goal of affordable wedding dance lessons is by offering wedding dance workshops.  (And planning a wedding is HECTIC, so this also meets some time constraints for many couples!)  You get a great set of basics that help you make your wedding dance memorable and help you feel comfortable on the dance floor, but you do so in a condensed time frame.

Our next wedding dance workshop in Fort Worth is scheduled for Saturday, April 12, 10am to 1pm

Only $100 per couple.
Designed for couples preparing for their wedding, however ALL couples (including parents of the bride and parents of the groom, maid of honor or best man, bridal parties or couples just wanting to learn how to dance) are encouraged to join!
Couples will learn the necessary and helpful lead/follow skills that will allow them to dance as a couple no matter their dance skill level, as well as versatile, basic steps that can be used in Rumba, Waltz and Country/Western Two-Step, a few turns and a very easy dip.  We will show you how to work with your dance space and move comfortably across the floor.  I also teach you specific tips to overcome unexpected things that may occur during your dance so that you know how to recover smoothly – and your guests won’t even know!  You’ll leave with the confidence to let go of your fears and create a dance to remember!
View the wedding dance videos some of our wedding couples have shared with us!  Note, most did include private lessons and choreography, so your results won’t be quite the same after one workshop, BUT you will learn enough of the basics to feel comfortable and look good with your special dance!

New online course available – Building a Killer Resume

As you already know, a resume is your personal marketing tool– one that is about your personal brand (Brand You), designed to get you noticed so that you will get called for an interview for the job of your dream.
There’s a lot of information out there.  A ton of websites give you generic tips and pointers on writing a resume, but don’t help you delve into putting together the pieces that your resume needs to get noticed.  And they usually won’t give you a resume review or critique of what you develop on your own.  You know exactly what I mean … you can Google anything and get much more information than you know what to do with.

Resume Services

Resume services will make a resume for you, but  when it’s time to update your resume you haven’t learned their tips to do it yourself, so you have to pay again.  I’m not knocking what they offer at all, it’s the best choice for some people.

Of course the best resume services, which help you research your work history to pick out the nuggets of gold to include in your resume, cost … a lot (often it really is a case of you get what you pay for).  Either way, you will most likely have to pay more for different versions of your resume (plain text, PDF, Word etc.)  And you will need to pay again later when it’s time for a resume update.

But not any more!

Wouldn’t it be better to pay once to learn the best kept resume secrets, and then use that information forever?

Building a Killer Resume

This Building a Killer Resume course is designed to bring you the best method for developing your own killer resume, brought together into one easy-to-understand timeline:
  • Tips for a great resume – straightforward advice, no fluff, no BS.  Don’t you like it when you are given only the information you need without having to weed through all the junk?
  • Takes you step by step through developing your resume – not just theory but hands-on activities you complete at your own pace.  Most people agree that having a step-by-step plan makes the work much easier.
  • Walks you through fleshing out your work-related activities to highlight achievements.  Isn’t it great when someone tells you exactly how to showcase your best work accomplishments?
  • Helps you format your resume in the best formats for recruiters and HR departments – and where to find low-cost or free programs to do so.  Free is good!
  • Provide resume feedback and assignment critiques from professional instructors at various steps along the way, so that you’re not fumbling along in the dark.  Feedback always makes your final product better.
And best of all … the resume and the knowledge are yours - forever!  No more going back and paying again when you want to move your career to the next level.

All of this for less than the cost of what I used to charge a single client to develop their resume.

Learning how to develop your own resume is an investment in YOU!

This course is an investment in your future and is worth much more than what I charge for face-to-face meetings.  Yet given the past few years’ economic downturn, I wanted to provide something affordable enough so that even those who have been unemployed or underemployed for a while can have the opportunity to participate.  The power of the internet allows me to reach a greater number of people, which means I can price the course to be extremely affordable for you.

The course includes multiple resume critique/feedback opportunities throughout the process, plus a critique of your final master resume file at the end.  We won’t write it for you, but we do know that finishing with a KILLER resume is your ultimate goal, and we will help keep you on track to do just that.

You will get out of it what you put into it, so be prepared to work, but it will be worth the effort!
